About Us

Imagine a state and nation without child abuse. It can happen. At Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin we work with concerned citizens across Wisconsin to help bring us closer to this goal. Read more about us and the work we do on behalf of Wisconsin's children.

Our Mission
Mission

Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin builds community resources, provides training and public awareness, and carries out advocacy activities in order to strengthen child abuse prevention efforts in Wisconsin.

 

Goals

  1. To build community resources for preventing child abuse statewide.
  2. To build public awareness and provide education about child abuse and neglect and everyone's role in preventing it.
  3. To advocate for policies that have a positive impact on children and families.
  4. To develop resources that will insure continuation of a strong Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin organization.
History
    Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin, formerly known as Wisconsin Committee to Prevent Child Abuse, was founded in 1978 as a private, non-profit organization. In 2006, Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin became a program of Children's Service Society of Wisconsin, a member of Children's Hospital and Health System.  Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin is a state chapter of the national organization, Prevent Child Abuse America.
