Board Members Bios
Helen Witte
Helen served on a study committee 1978-79 to start a
Wisconsin chapter of NCPCA. She was elected to the board in
1986, served as Vice President 1987-92, Fundraising chair
1989-92, chair of the first Golf Benefit to Prevent Child
Abuse in 1992 and president from 1992-95. A native of Iowa,
Helen was trained as a nurse and became interested in child
abuse through the General Federation of Women's Clubs, of
which she served as Chair of the Public Affairs Department.
A resident of Brown Deer since 1965, Helen was named Brown
Deer's 1996 Citizen of the Year. Helen is married to Ralph,
a retired senior medical representative at Lederle
Laboratories, a division of American Cyanamid. They have
three children.
