Kevin Brown

Kevin Brown is the Program Manager for Prevent Child Abuse
Wisconsin. He oversees the operations, funding programs and
other activities offered through PCAW. From July 1998 until
December 2006, Mr. Brown worked for the National Children's
Advocacy Center in Huntsville, Alabama in a variety of
positions. He provided technical assistance to communities
in 17 southern states that were interested in developing new
Children's Advocacy Centers or strengthening existing ones.
From July 2002 until December 2004, he managed the
day-to-day and ongoing activities of One by One: a Safe
Kids/Safe Streets Initiative, a multi-agency collaborative
project to find new ways to prevent and respond to child
abuse and neglect in Madison County, Alabama. Prior to
that, Mr. Brown served as the One By One Resource
Coordinator for four years. He was responsible for locating
and securing funds to initiate new One by One programs and
to sustain the project's twenty programs beyond the end of
the federal grant period. Mr. Brown graduated from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison and has previously worked
for the Sierra Club, California Public Interest Research
Group, Ralph Nader's Center for Study of Responsive Law, and
Wisconsin's Environmental Decade (now known as Clean
Wisconsin).
