Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin is a resource that can support awareness activities in your community, during April and throughout the year. The Blue Ribbons for Kids awareness campaign was created through a private-public partnership between Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin, the Child Abuse Prevention Fund of Children's Hospital and Health System, and the Wisconsin Children's Trust Fund. Through this partnership we are pleased to make available materials that you can use to help keep kids safe and families strong. These materials are only available online and ready to be downloaded free of charge. Many people have found that the materials from previous years can be modified slightly and used as integral components of current awareness campaigns. The blue ribbon serves as a visible reminder and is a great way for your organization to promote awareness in your community. The Beyond the Blue Ribbon Award provides recognition and a monetary award to three child abuse prevention awareness initiatives in Wisconsin that go beyond distributing blue ribbon pins during April Child Abuse Prevention Month. Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin, the Child Abuse Prevention Fund of Children's Hospital and Health System, and the Children's Trust Fund will present three $500 cash awards to local groups in Wisconsin who carry out child abuse awareness campaigns: one for the most creative, another for having the most community-wide participation, and a third for the campaign effort that shows the most potential.
