What:
Spoke
Out is a bike ride around Lake Monona or a 2-mile
hike along the Wingra Creek path followed by food
from Pedro's Mexican Restaurante and family entertainment.
When: Sunday,
September 26, 11a.m.- 2p.m. Registration begins
at 11. Participants may begin biking or hiking at
their leisure. This is not a race.
Where: The event
begins at Olin Park Shelter.
Why: Every child
has the right to a safe and happy childhood, yet many
children don’t enjoy this right. You can help
ensure that children are able to enjoy carefree pleasures
like bike riding by taking part in the 2004 Lake Monona
Spoke Out to Prevent Child Abuse. Proceeds benefit
Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin, and ultimately the
children of Wisconsin.
How: You may choose
to participate in Spoke Out either as an individual
or as a member of a team. If you are interested
in creating a team and being a team captain, click
here for a team packet.
If you can’t attend the event, but wish to make
a tax deductible donation to help prevent child abuse
in your community, send your donations to:
Prevent
Child Abuse Wisconsin
214 N. Hamilton
Madison, WI 53703
Registration: Registration
is $50 in donations or a $25 fee for adults (adults
who pre-register by September 10 may deduct $5 from
their registration fee). Registration for children
ages 5-17 is $10 or $25 in donations. Click
here for a registration form. Registration for children
under 5 is free. You may also register on-line
by clicking here or using the link in the box on the left.

who raise donations over $25, $75 or $150 will
be entered into respective drawings for a chance
to win a prize! See the brochure for details.

Together we can help children have
safe and happy childhoods.
It won’t happen in an afternoon, but the
more time and contributions everyone provides,
the more we can support families and children.
